Pre-Session Review

We Review the Results Before We Meet

The consultation does not begin when the video call starts. Before the session, our bacteriologists, scientists, and microbiome experts carefully review the submitted digestive or microbiome test, identify the findings that matter, and examine the research relevant to those findings.

That preparation allows us to spend the consultation explaining the important results, rather than reading the report aloud.

Why context matters

A Test Report Gives Results. It Does Not Always Give Context.

A report may show reference ranges, microbial levels, biomarkers, or risk labels. Some findings have strong scientific support, while others have important limitations. Some become meaningful only alongside other results. We help separate what the test measured from how the report interprets it.

During the consultation

Then We Walk Through the Results Together

During the private 60-minute consultation, we focus on the findings that deserve the most attention. We explain what the markers measure, how findings may relate to one another, what the current evidence supports, and where the test has limitations.

There is time for questions about the report and areas that remain unclear. The goal is to make the important information understandable, rather than explain every number on the page.

Our expertise

The Results Are Reviewed by Scientists Who Understand the Biology Behind Them

The N.E. Microbiome Institute brings together bacteriologists, scientists, and microbiome experts with direct experience in microbiology, laboratory science, digestive health, and related biomedical fields.

Our team understands the organisms, biomarkers, methods, and biological processes that appear in these tests. That experience helps us assess what was measured, how reliable it is, and how much scientific weight an interpretation deserves.

What is included

What the Consultation Includes

01

Pre-Session Review

We review the submitted test, its important findings, and the scientific evidence relevant to them before the appointment.

02

60-Minute Private Consultation

We discuss important results, evidence, limitations, and questions in a one-to-one session.

03

Evidence Summary

Afterward, a short written summary highlights the main points and relevant evidence.

TESTS WE REVIEW

What Tests Can We Review?

The consultation is designed for digestive, microbiome, and related laboratory results that can help provide context around digestive health. These are examples of the types of tests our team may review.

Comprehensive Stool & GI Tests

GI-MAPGI EffectsGI360

Comprehensive reports that may include microorganisms, digestive markers, inflammation-related markers, and other gastrointestinal measurements.

Microbiome Tests

BiomeFxOmbreOther commercial microbiome reports

Reports that assess microbial composition, abundance, diversity, and other characteristics of the gut microbiome.

Breath Tests

Hydrogen breath testsMethane breath testsSIBO / IMO breath-test reports

Breath-test results related to intestinal fermentation and hydrogen or methane production.

Digestive Markers

Fecal calprotectinPancreatic elastaseOther digestive stool markers

Individual laboratory markers that can provide additional information about digestive function or intestinal processes.

Relevant Blood Work

Complete blood countComprehensive metabolic panelIron and ferritinVitamin B12 and folate
More blood-work examples
C-reactive proteinVitamin DOther blood results relevant to the digestive questions being reviewed

Blood results may provide useful additional context when relevant to the digestive or microbiome findings being discussed.

Questions

Before Booking

A few things to know before scheduling a consultation.

We focus on digestive, microbiome, and related laboratory results that can provide useful context for digestive health. Examples include comprehensive stool tests, microbiome reports, digestive markers, breath tests, and relevant blood work. If it is unclear whether a particular test fits the consultation, email appointments@allobiome.com before booking and our team can confirm.

The consultation is designed around one primary report so the team has enough time to review it carefully before the session. If there are additional results that are directly related to the primary report, email appointments@allobiome.com before booking. Our team can confirm what can reasonably be included in the same consultation.

Your results are reviewed by a member of the N.E. Microbiome Institute team, which includes board-certified scientists, bacteriologists, microbiologists, and microbiome experts with experience across laboratory science, microbiology, and digestive health. Before the appointment, the expert carefully reviews the submitted test, identifies the findings that deserve the most attention, and examines the scientific evidence relevant to those findings. That preparation then guides the consultation.

After booking, instructions are sent for submitting the test results. Our team reviews the report before the appointment, identifies the findings that deserve the most attention, and examines the scientific evidence relevant to those findings. The 60-minute consultation can then focus on explaining and discussing the results rather than simply reading through the report.

Submission instructions are provided after booking. Do not paste complete laboratory results or reports into the scheduling form. Follow the document-submission instructions provided after the appointment is booked.

A short written evidence summary is provided after the session. It highlights the principal findings discussed, relevant scientific context, important limitations, and selected references.

Email appointments@allobiome.com before booking. Our team can confirm whether the test and the questions fall within the scope of the consultation.
